The Short Story: North Florida men's basketball made seven three-pointers in the second half en route to overcoming a 15-point deficit and securing a 72-67 road win at Lipscomb. The win allowed UNF to earn a split of the weekend series with the Bisons.

BY THE NUMBERS
- Carter Hendricksen scored 16 points to pace a trio of Ospreys with double figure points - Jose Placer finished with 11 points including the team's last five points highlighted by the game winning three-pointer in the closing minute
- Jonathan Aybar also chipped in 11 points and four blocked shots while Josh Endicott just missed a double-double after tallying 8 points and matching his career best with 12 rebounds
- Ryan Burkhardt drilled a trio of treys off the bench for the Ospreys

NOTABLE MOMENTS
- Ospreys got off to the quick start, scoring 8 of the game's first 11 points including back-to-back three pointers by Jonathan Aybar and Jose Placer to start the scoring
- UNF maintained a lead over the first five minutes of the contest but a 12-3 run by Lipscomb midway through the first period turned the lead towards the Bisons, 20-15
- A late 8-3 spurt allowed North Florida to knot the score at 29-29 capped by a triple from Carter Hendricksen
- The Bisons answered with the final 7 points of half to hold a 36-29 advantage
- Lipscomb quickly expanded their lead to double digits (42-29) with a pair of threes in the first minute of the second half
- North Florida settled down and scored 8 of the next 10 points to cut into the deficit
- The margin eventually grew to 15 points (57-42) with 10 minutes remaining on the clock
- Emmanuel Adedoyin made a pair of FTs followed by a trey from Ryan Burkhardt and a basket for Aybar during a 7-0 run
- Adedoyin sparked a stretch of four consecutive three-pointers that allowed the Ospreys to tie the score at 63 | Jacob Crews, Burkhardt and Placer also made treys in the span
- The squads traded baskets over their next two possessions before North Florida secured the victory by netting the final five points, all from Placer

"The one thing we talked about following last night's game heading into today was to take ownership of learning. In order to do that, there is elements of motivation and self direction, an ability to handle situations between the black lines as they are happening. I could not be more proud of this group, that being down 15 with 10 minutes left, they didn't panic even with some guys that are not normally on the floor at times like that for us. These guys didn't panic, took one possession at a time and they strung together key defensive stops that led to successful offense. To our guys credit the really special things about the win were the defensive stops and rebounds down the stretch. Really proud and happy for Jose (Placer) who wasn't having his best game but made some big shots at the end. This was a great team win and team effort."
