The Short Story: North Florida men's baskeball secured a program record 13th ASUN Conference win Thursday night after posting an 85-72 road victory at Stetson sparked by a decisive 15-0 run midway through the second half.

- Wajid Aminu finished with 17 points to lead a group of five Ospreys (all starters) in double digits | Aminu also shared the team lead with 7 rebounds while also increasing his ASUN block total by four
- Carter Hendricksen added 16 points followed by 15 for Garrett Sams, 12 for JT Escobar and 10 from Ivan Gandia-Rosa
- Gandia-Rosa also handed out 12 assists marking his second consecutive double-double and shared rebounding lead with 7 boards

- North Florida started the game with a 9-4 run keyed by treys for Garrett Sams and JT Escobar around an old-fashioned three-point play for Wajid Aminu
- Stetson responded with a 13-2 run of their own to grab their first lead of the night
- The Hatters would maintain the lead for a good portion of the opening stanza, eventually buiilding a 10-point advantage (30-20) with 10 minutes on the clock
- Aminu and Ivan Gandia-Rosa would account for seven straight points to spark a 15-4 overall run that saw Ospreys retake the lead, 35-34
- The squads would trade the lead down the stretch of the first half and UNF carried a 44-42 lead into the intermission after a pair of late free throws by Sams
- Second half play was defined by a series of runs beginning with North Florida's opening 14-3 surge that included triples for Escobar, Dorian James and Ryan Burkhardt | Ospreys led by 10 (62-52) following the run
- Stetson scored the next 12 points and actually retook the lead by two before North Florida put things away with a 15-0 spurt and never led by less than 11 the rest of the contest
