JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida (6-1) stayed perfect at home on the season thanks to a 4-3 victory against Georgia State (2-7) Sunday, Feb. 23.

Valentina Mariotto and Sean Lodzki blanked Aleksandra Stromova and Mara Pop, 6-0, to get the first win in doubles. Ana Paula Melilo and Lucia Montano defeated Eva Chivu and Andreea Stanescu, 6-4, to clinch a crucial doubles point.

Kendall Nash got the first singles win of the day, winning in straight sets 6-1, 6-3 against Pop. Georgia State tied the match at 2-2 with wins in the one and two slots. 

Lodzki gave the Ospreys a one-point lead after defeating Denisa Gheorghe 7-5, 6-3. Constanza Gorches clinched the match for the Ospreys, downing Stromova 7-5, 6-1.

North Florida women's tennis returns home Friday, February 28 to host Georgia Southern.
