Behind the Line Score
- The Ospreys struck first in the bottom of the first, plating one. Tanner May walked, moved up a base on a groundout and crossed home on a Blake Marabell single to center.
- VMI tied it up in the top half of the first. Will Knight opened the frame with a triple and scored on an RBI single from Cody Warner.
- The Ospreys regained the lead for good in the bottom of the second. After a Chris Matthias double, Abraham Sequera drove in Matthias with a single back up the middle.
- A hit by pitch, wild pitch and sac fly allowed Trey Spratling-Williams to score in the third, putting UNF ahead by two.
- VMI cut it to 3-2 in the fourth. Two singles and an errant throw allowed the Keydets to score.
- UNF broke it open in the fifth with three runs. May was hit by a pitch and Marabell scored him with a double down the left field line. Ricky Presno hit a towering two-run home run to right one batter later.
- After VMI notched back-to-back singles to start the sixth, UNF retired the final 12 batters to seal the game.
- Madonna didn't allow a batter to reach base in three frames.
