- FSU responded with 10-0 spurt over the next two minutes to turn back the Osprey challenge
- Emmanuel Adedoyin and Crews contributed three-pointers around an old-fashioned three-point play for Dorian James as UNF mounted another rally to cut the Noles lead to 14 (70-56)

LAST WORD
"If you just looked at the final score it wasn't a complete reflection of how the game was played. With about four minutes left, we were trailing by just 14 and had the ball with a chance to pull even closer. We had a chance to cut it to single digits with around 8 minutes left. I am most proud of the guys effort tonight. I asked them during shootaround today to just be as physical as we possibly can, I wasn't concerned about fouling, we know that Florida State always plays physical and has some big, athletic guys. I just wanted us to compete with a physical mindset. We always say that it is either hit or be hit. Really nice to see Jacob (Crews) step up when his number was called tonight. Not only did Jacob deliver in Carter Hendricksen's absence but Dorian (James) also played a lot of minutes and produced. You can look at how many times they would build the lead to 20 and we fought back. I'm really, really proud and excited about where we are headed next. This team showed they have fight and showed they are capable of physicality. We aren't going to back down or feel sorry for ourselves, we know the games don't stop so I'm proud of how we responded to the challenges." -- Head coach Matthew Driscoll
