The Short Story: A season high scoring output and career high performance by Josh Endicott wasn't enough for North Florida men's basketball in their hard fought 85-74 loss at High Point on Saturday afternoon.

BY THE NUMBERS
- North Florida scored a season best 74 points, marking the first 70+ effort of the year
- Josh Endicott posted career high points (18) and rebounds (12) in collecting the first double-double of his career

- UNF held a slim 38-37 edge in rebounding and handed out 19 assists on 28 baskets

NOTABLE MOMENTS

- A 9-3 spurt by High Point midway through the period allowed the Panthers to take a slight edge
- HPU would expand the margin to 10 late in the stanza before Josh Endicott drilled a corner three in the closing seconds to make the halftime score, 41-34
- The Panthers utilized a 12-2 surge including a span of 10 straight points to start the second half and seize control of the contest
- The Ospreys continued to battle and closed the deficit to single digits on several occasions including 64-55 around the 10-minute mark
- High Point converted on 14 of 20 FTs in the second period and were able to turn back any late challenge from the Ospreys

LAST WORD - Head Coach Matthew Driscoll
"High Point was the aggressor and the hungrier team from the start today. We had several opportunities early in the game to create some separation for ourselves but consecutive turnovers allowed High Point to gain the momentum and push ahead by a couple of scores. The guys continued to fight and we were able to cut the lead back to single digits. However, we self imploded with turnovers which led to easy scores for High Point in transition. Josh Endicott continues to improve and is getting comfortable in his role for us. We have really struggled finding a leader since Carter got hurt and that is something we are focused on improving as we head into Monday's home opener against FAU."

NEXT UP
After playing five consecutive road tilts, UNF is scheduled to make its home debut on Monday (Dec. 7) versus FAU at 7 p.m.
