HOW IT HAPPENED
- Making their long awaited home debut, the Ospreys treated the fans to some explosive offense early in the first half getting goals from Leah Ferlin and Thais Reiss in a span of a minute
- Ferlin put UNF on the board in the 11th minute when she lofted a shot from about 22-yards out over the Air Force keeper into the upper left hand corner of the goal
- Less than a minute later, Reiss doubled the Osprey lead with her own shot from distance, sender her slashing shot into the right side of the netting
- North Florida would carry a 2-0 lead into the break, having outshot the Falcons 7-3 in the first 45 minutes
- Air Force turned up the intensity after intermission, controlling possession and peppering the Osprey goal with 12 shot attempts
- The Falcons scored their first goal in the 75th minute and then collected the equalizer int the 87th minute to force overtime
- In the first overtime, Air Force posted the game winner with just over a minute left in the extra session to end the Osprey home debut in disappointment

QUICK KICKS
- The goal for junior Thais Reiss marked her 7th of the season | She has a goal in all but one contest for the Ospreys
- Junior Leah Ferlin picked up her third goal of the year and third in the last four matches
- Air Force posted a 17-9 edge in shot attempts including a 12-1 decisive second half advantage
- North Florida dropped its home opener for the six consecutive season
- Marked the second OT match of the year for UNF (Tied LaSalle, 1-1, in 2OT)

FAULCONER TALK
"I have to give full credit to Air Force. We knew they wouldn't go away because those student-athletes over there are elite individuals to begin with. We knew they would battle us. We just couldn't get consistent control of the ball in the second half. I told our team it came down to the fact that they just outworked us. This is the first time it has happened this year but the credit goes to Air Force players and staff for coming in here and getting the win in overtime after playing an overtime draw on Friday night." - Head coach Eric Faulconer

UP NEXT
North Florida continues a five-match home stand with a pair of contests this upcoming weekend against Illinois State (Friday, Sept. 20) and Western Carolina (Sunday, Sept. 22).
