Behind the Line Score
- UNF had its first offensive opportunity escape in the third. David Maberry singled to left with one away. Blake Marabell poked a single to left center and advanced to second on the throw made to third base in attempt to retire Maberry. Adametz got out of it with a groundout to end the frame.
- Liberty broke a 0-0 stalemate with one run in the third. Jaylen Guy hooked a double into the left-field corner and was pushed to third on a sacrifice bunt. Jonathan Embry scored Guy with a double to right center.
- A fortuitous bounce on a bunt was key in getting UNF out of a jam in the fifth. Gray Betts opened the frame with a walk and Guy reached on an infield single. Ayden Karraker put down a bunt that landed near the line. Marchese slid to in attempt to catch the bunt, but he couldn't reel it in. The ball bounced and avoided Marchese before rolling foul. Karraker fanned and reliever Eddie Miller retired the next two to end the inning.
- UNF evened things at one in the sixth. Guy rolled the dice on a liner to center off the bat of Marabell, diving to make the catch. The center fielder couldn't snag the batted ball as it rolled far enough to allow Marabell to advance to third on a triple. Jay Prather drove him in with an RBI groundout two batters later.
- Maberry put UNF ahead, 2-1, with a two-out RBI double in the seventh. The junior scored pinch runner Alex Hendricks who was on base for Austin Hurwitz following the catcher's leadoff single.
- Liberty lifted two solo home runs into the jet stream in right to take the 3-2 lead in the eighth. A wind-aided pinch hit home run from Trey McDyre tied the game at two. Will Wagner hit the go-ahead shot to right two batters later. The Flames made it a five-run eighth after an error and a pair of base hits loaded the bases for Ben Highfill's bases-clearning double down the right field line.
