Behind the Line Score
- BCU capitalized on a pair of walks to take a 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Josten Heron and Brady Van Hook worked consecutive walks and a wild pitch pushed them over a base. Nate Sterijevski doubled deep into right center, scoring Heron, but a swift relay from Tanner Murphy to Jay Prather and on to Tanner Clark at home cut down Van Hook.
- Wes Weeks hit a resounding double off the left-center wall, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored with a Murphy sacrifice fly down the left field line in the first. Chris Berry hit his first triple on the year one batter later, but UNF (16-15) couldn't capitalize.
- Jay Prather turned a dazzling double play to end a bases-loaded threat in the second. The second baseman snagged a one-hop smash on a dive, glove flipped to Abraham Sequera and the shortstop fired to first to retire the Wildcats.
- Bethune - Cookman blew things open after batting around and scoring five in the seventh. Zach Spivey singled through the right side to open the inning. Heron bounced up the middle to Sequera, but the flip to Prather was too far to the second baseman's right as both runners reached. Van Hook put down a successful sacrifice bunt, advancing both runners before Sterijevski's RBI single to plate Spivey. Over Torres hooked a two-RBI single down the left field line and Brandon Wilkes launched an RBI triple to right center. Up 5-1, Jose Fernando struck out and was retired on a dropped third, but after the throw to first Wilkes made an opportunitistic sprint to plate and scored with a steal.
- UNF got things going with two outs and scored one in the seventh. Blake Marabell was hit by a glancing fastball, Prather walked and Weeks singled the left fielder home with a base knock up the middle.
- North Florida mustered one base runner the rest of the way as BCU held off the Ospreys.

Coach Parenton's Comments
"It was a tough ball game tonight and we are in the middle of a little bit of a rut right now. We might be trying a little bit too hard and some guys are pressing, but we got to get ready for this weekend with JU. Right now we are trying to go 40-50 pitches with our guys in the middle of the week so we can be ready for the weekend, and that's where Logan [Clayton] had a good start and [Hunter] Bowling came in and did a great job. Our goal this weekend is to win ball games, play the way we can, put the ball in play and play nice defense." -- Head coach
