Behind the Line Score
- UNF wore out the third base line to grab a 2-0 lead in the first. Tanner Murphy chopped a double inside the bag, Jay Prather was intentionally walked, and Tanner May turned on a fastball to double down the line, scoring two.
- The Flames took a one-run lead with three in the first. Singles from Jonathan Embry, Tyler Galazin and Brandon Rohrer made it 2-1. Logan Mathieu lifted a deep fly ball to straight away left, sending Blake Marabell to the track. Marabell got a glove on it, but whipping winds didn't allow him to get under the ball as it was ruled a two-RBI double.
- Liberty tacked on three runs, two of which were unearned, in the third. Galazin walked and Rohrer singled to right center, putting runners at the corners. A Mathieu fly ball to left was dropped by Marabell, scoring Galazin. Reitz got the next two batters, but Gray Betts pulled two-RBI double to right.
- Reitz and Skirrow combined to spin five scoreless half innings until Liberty extended its lead to 7-2 with one as the Ospreys went to the pen in the bottom of the sixth. Galazin walked, stole second and third and Rohrer ripped an RBI single up the middle.
- Liberty overturned a play with a successful review, reached on an infield hit and scored its eighth run on a Texas leaguer in the eighth.
- UNF's last hit came in the fourth as the Flames held their lead in check.
- Chappell spun 2.2 innings, permitting two earned. Reitz allowed four earned in 5.0 frames.
