Behind the Line Score
  • UNF put two runs on the board in the top of the fourth. Jay Prather doubled into left center and scored one batter later when Tanner Murphy doubled off the wall in left. Alex Reynolds hooked an RBI single into right field to score Murphy.
  • BCU scored in the bottom half of the fourth, an inning that could have turned much worse.
  • A walk and a passed ball put Zach Spivey on second base. Reynolds dove to keep a sharp ground ball in the infield, but BCU was setup with runners at the corners. BCU cut the deficit to 2-1 on a misplayed ground ball.
  • A lineout to Murphy in center and a crucial strikeout ended the threat.
  • Marchese worked a scoreless fifth before running into Bethune's best opportunity the rest of the way.
  • BCU's Nate Sterijevski singled to lead off the sixth and attempted to steal second two pitches into the following at-bat. Brandon Wilkes was called out for batter's interference during the steal, sending Sterijevski back 90 feet. Marchese fanned the next batter before Sterijevski stole second successfully this time.
  • A sharp grounder caromed off Abraham Sequera at short, bouncing a few feet from him. Sterijevski attempted to score on the play but the sophomore shortstop pegged him at home.
  • Tanner Clark provided some insurance with a two-out RBI single to right center with two away in the top of the eighth. The catcher put UNF up 3-1 on the eighth pitch of the at-bat, scoring Sequera after he walked and stole second.
  • Miller's dominance continued in the final three innings. The redshirt-junior fanned four, permitted only one hit to earn his fourth save.
