Oliveira Set to Play for Brazil U20 National Squad

JACKSONVILLE -- University of North Florida sophomore Carmel Oliveira was recently called into the Brazilian Under-20 Women's National Team and will represent Brazil in the 2019 NIKE International Friendlies at the Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.

Brazil is set to face France on December 9, the United States "Blue" team on December 11 and the United State "Red" team on Friday, December 13. All three games will kick off at 6:30 p.m. and will be live streamed at ussoccer.com

"Obviously, this is a tremendous honor for Carmel, as well as our UNF women's soccer program," said UNF head coach Eric Faulconer. "It is a wonderful opportunity anytime you can represent your country and I know this has been a goal of Carmel's for some time. Carmel had a solid first year with our program this past fall and this will be a great environment to showcase her abilities and further her on-field development."

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Oliveria played in 17 games as a midfielder for the Ospreys, scoring two goals and recording four assists. She is the only U.S based four-year collegiate player on the Brazilian squad.
