TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The North Florida women's tennis team finished day two of the Florida State Invitational with five singles wins, a doubles win, and two titles.
Lucia Montano swept Emmanuelle Salas of Florida State, who is ranked 57th nationally. With the win, Montano advances to the Audra Brannon Singles Finals tomorrow. Teammate
Lea Grinberg beat Zoe Klapman of MTSU, 7-6(4) 6-1, to win the Kiersten Turk Singles Title.
Valentina Mariotto,
Kendall Nash, and
Sean Lodzki all picked up wins in the Consolation Semifinals of their respective brackets. Mariotto and Nash took down opponents from USF, while Lodzki beat an opponent from UCF.
Constanza Gorches and Nash picked up the Ospreys' lone doubles win. The pair beat Despain and Louka of Clemson, 6-4, to take the Micki Moldovan Doubles Consolation Title.
Mariotto, Nash, and Lodzki advance to the Consolation Finals tomorrow. The tournament will begin at 9 a.m.
