Inside the First Half
The teams shook off the rust in the opening minute as the Badgers held a 9-8 lead at the media timeout. UW then went on a 7-0 run before Rhetta Moore hit a three to end the stretch. As time wound down, Adrienne Jackson hit a three before Wisconsin answered to hold a 20-14 lead after one. In the second quarter, the home team took its biggest lead of the game, 29-16, just three minutes in the frame. A three and a bucket from Tolbert brought UNF to within 36-30, but the Badgers hit a field goal in the paint with 30 seconds left in the half and took a 38-30 lead into the break.

Inside the Second Half
The teams traded points in the first four minutes of the third to make it a 40-36 game. It was as close as the Ospreys would get in the frame though as Wisconsin pushed its lead back to double figures. Three-pointers from Tolbert, Green and Jackson moved the Ospreys to within seven each time, but the Badgers had an answer every time. After UW took a 12-point lead, North Florida jumped on a 10-2 run to pull with four, 61-57, but the home team then went on a 9-2 stretch to push their lead back to double digits. North Florida got to within eight on Green's layup, but it was as close as it would get for the game.

Osprey Fast Breaks
  • Ospreys hit 10 three-pointers, while limiting Wisconsin to eight.
  • The Badgers owned a 30-10 edge in the paint and had 12 second chance points thanks to 15 offensive boards. Despite UW holding a 52-38 edge off the glass, UNF grabbed 17 offensive boards.
  • Alexis Gordon made her Osprey debut with a pair of three-pointers and four rebounds.
  • Jazz Bond chipped in seven points, while pulling down a team-best nine boards.
THOUGHTS FROM THE TOP
"We had our chances tonight, but couldn't get enough stops late to take advantage of them. We did a really solid job responding to the early foul trouble and I loved how we started the 2nd half. But hats of to Wisconsin and how they found a way to respond every time we made a run. It was great seeing Tiffany back on the floor and playing just like she was before the injury. I'm really proud of how she has worked and pushed to get to this point. The exciting thing about this group is that we have so much room to grow and the pieces continue to come together!" - head coach Darrick Gibbs.
