12' | Miguel DeLeon, Jr. (LJ Estes)

HOW IT HAPPENED
- FGCU got on the board first when Shak Adams found Ivan Rosales about 25 feet out. Rosales fired a shot into the corner past Padraic Gilley for the lead.
- The Ospreys did not stay down long as North Florida controlled the ball off of a Zane Bubb throw in. Inside the box, LJ Estes found the feet of Miguel DeLeon, Jr. who was streaking up the right side of the box. He slipped it into the lower right corner for the equalizer.
- Neither team could get anything else going for the remainder of the half.
- The teams traded opportunities in the early goings of the second frame, but came up empty each time.
- The Eagles capitalized on a long ball from Ryan Medilah who found a streaking O'Vonte Mullings. He was able to take advantage of the Ospreys misstep in the defense and chipped the ball in for the 2-1 lead.
- Down the stretch, Mirza Nevoric had a point blank shot blocked by the team and later Landen Haig had a chance go ove the top of the bar.
- Estes had the best chance of the second frame, when Jake Hawker sent it a great pass inside the box, but the shot ricocheted off the crossbar out of bounds.
- With less than two minutes to play, Cormac Begley had a great opportunity to the bottom right, but it was stopped by the FGCU keeper to secure the win.

FROM THE MOUTH OF MARINATOS
"I am proud of the guys. I thought they brought it the whole time, but we just ran out of time. We had some good looks in the second half. Unfortunately the second goal was a result of a couple of our mistakes and in a knock out game like this - you can't make those mistakes. FGCU is a tough opponent, but I am proud of our guys. All of our seniors gave everything they had and were great leaders. I am proud of the culture we are building. We return our whole back line and now there is no where to go but up." - head coach Derek Marinatos
