FORT MYERS, Fla. - The UNF women's tennis team had a big day on day one at the Bedford Cup Friday, totaling eight singles and four doubles wins.

Headlining UNF's wins were Lucia Montano, Ana Paula Melilo, and Florencia Rossi. Montano and Melilo beat their opponents in the Flight A Singles Round of 16 and Quarterfinals, advancing to the semifinals. Rossi beat opponents from FAU and Stetson to move on to the Flight C Semifinals

The pairs of Melilo and Montano and Constanza Gorches and Valentina Mariotto picked up wins in the Doubles Flight A Round of 16, with both pairs winning 6-4 to advance to the semifinals. Rossi and partner Kendall Nash as well as Leah Grinberg and Sean Lodzki will advance to the semifinals of Flight B.

Montano, Melilo, and Rossi will face off in tomorrow's respective singles semifinals at 9:00 a.m. Doubles Flight Quarterfinals will begin at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning.
