JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF returns home after a five-match road swing to continue ASUN play with matches against FGCU and NJIT.

1. Last Time Out
LYNCHBURG, Va. -  A hot Liberty Flames (10-5, 3-0 ASUN) squad got the best of UNF (6-10, 0-2 ASUN) Sunday, September 29, as LU won in straight sets from the Vines Center. 
Sunday concludes UNF's five-match road swing as it will return to Jacksonville Friday to continue ASUN competition.

2. Series History
FGCU and UNF are familiar foes, having met 28 times ... The Eagles lead the all-time series, 22-6 ... North Florida is 4-10 against FGCU when playing in Jacksonville .. The Ospreys have picked up their other two wins in neutral site contests ... UNF is 3-19 when playing FGCU as ASUN foes ... The last time UNF topped Florida Gulf Coast in Jacksonville was a 3-2 victory October 27, 2017 ... UNF has picked up two more 3-2 triumphs in Jacksonville ... UNF leads the all-time series with NJIT, 7-1 ... North Florida topped NJIT twice last year, taking both matches in straight sets ... NJIT's lone win was a 3-1 triumph back in September of 2017 in Newark ... NJIT has never defeated UNF in Jacksonville ... The Ospreys have taken seven matches via straight sets ... The first meeting was in 2015.

3. Move Over Milestones
Redshirt-junior Gabby O'Connell has seen a pair of milestones come and go already this season. Thursday, Sept. 19  at Mississippi State O'Connell eclipsed 900 career kills with a double-double against the Bulldogs. Friday night at Kennesaw State she moved past 800 digs for her career. Saturday, Sept. 14 against FIU she posted 29 kills, tying the UNF DI single-match record for a five-set match. This was just days after she set a previous personal high with 25 kills at USF Sept. 10. The Gainesville, Fla., native also surpassed 100 blocks for her career this season, posting 20 thus far for her third campaign as an Osprey.

4. Unphased Freshmen
Freshmen Julianna Askew and Rocio Moro have made a huge impact in their rookie seasons thus far. Halfway through the regular season schedule, Moro and Askew are both in the top five in multiple statistical categories in the conference. Askew ranks second in the conference in assists (585), aces (26) and aces/set (0.44). Nationally she ranks eighth in assists and 16th in service aces. Rocio Moro ranks 42nd nationally in digs/set and 15th in Division I for digs. In the ASUN Moro is second in digs and third in digs/set. Both Askew and Moro have tied UNF single-match records this season. Askew tied the UNF DI five-set match record for assists with 70 helpers against FIU September 14. Moro tied the UNF DI five-set match record for digs with 35 scoops at Mississippi State September 19. 

5. Scouting Report
FGCU is 12-3 and 2-1 in ASUN play and is coming off of sweeps of Lipscomb and North Alabama ... The Eagles fell to Liberty in straight sets to open conference competition ... FGCU has a number of impressive wins this season, getting victories against San Diego State, Miami, UCF, Auburn and USF ... The Eagles lead the league with 13.59 kills/set and a .259 hitting percentage ... Florida Gulf Coast paces the league in blocks and blocks/set … NJIT is 1-16 and 0-2 in conference play … The Highlanders' lone win was a 3-2 victory against FDU … Sarah Merritt paces NJIT with 127 kills, and Madi Busler has 117 for the second most on the team … Liz Benson is NJIT's go-to setter, leading the squad with 434 helpers … NJIT was swept by Kennesaw State and fell 3-1 to UNA to open ASUN play.
