- Estes took three shots on the night, while Martin and Miguel DeLeon, Jr. each took two.Â
- North Florida waits for its seed in the ASUN tournament as FGCU and Stetson, who both also have 10 points, play each other next week and are involved in the three-way tie with UNF currently. NJIT moved into first with a win against the Eagles.
FROM THE MOUTH OF MARINATOS
"Credit to Lipscomb; they came out and put us under a lot of pressure in the first half. I do not feel our mentality was where it should be. I thought we defended some moments well, but lost a lot of 1-v-1 battles. It took a PK to beat us ultimately.Â
Â
"We made some adjustments in the second half and created enough chances to get a goal, especially with the PK, and unfortunately we missed our chances. I am proud of the way we fought back, but you have to finish one of the great chances we created and that was the difference." - head coach Derek Marinatos
UP NEXT
North Florida is finished with ASUN play and now plays two non-conference games to wrap up the regular season. The Ospreys host FAU on Wednesday at 6 p.m. and will honor four seniors prior to the match.Â
