Last Time Out
  • Redshirt-sophomore Gabby O'Connell led all players in kills and senior Madilyn McCarty posted her seventh double-double of the year, although a consistent USF attack provided the Bulls with a 3-0 win at the UNF Arena Sunday, September 23.

Quadruple Option
  • UNF has four players in ASUN who are in the top 10 in kills, the only team in the ASUN that can make that claim. It is also the only team with at least three players in the top ten, led by junior Taryn Griffey's 204, good for third in the league.

The 3,000 Club
  • McCarty eclipsed the 3,000-assist milestone with 24 helpers in UNF's match against FGCU Sept. 22. She has 1,816 assists in the Navy and Gray and additional 1,229 assists from her rookie campaign at Winthrop.

Block Party
  • UNF has notched double-digit blocks four times this season, going 2-2 in such contests.
  • Griffey leads the ASUN in blocks  (73), eight more than Kennesaw State's Liesl Engelbrecht who is second.

I'll Take the Double-Double
  • O'Connell has done a little bit of everything this season. She is currently tied for the team lead with seven double-doubles and has posted a double-digit kill performance in every match this home stand.

River City Rumble
  • This is the 36th meeting between the River City rivals. USC Upstate is the only school that UNF has faced more times.
  • JU is 3-2 over the last five meetings, although UNF holds the all-time advantage, 18-17
  • The two schools first battled Oct. 25, 1991.

Wright's Words - From Sunday vs. USF
"We used today to look at things in some areas and to see how players were in good competition," head coach Kristen Wright said. "There are a few people that stepped up, like Grace Youngblood and Grace Peterson on the right side. Really, against Jacksonville, both teams are in similar situations being in transition. To me it's really about pride and focus and executing a game plan and being locked in for an entire match. That's what our game plan is going to be [Tuesday]."

What's Next?
UNF goes on the road for two matches this weekend, beginning with Lipscomb Friday, September 28 at 7:30 p.m. The Ospreys finish the weekend at Kennesaw State Sunday.
