JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida beach volleyball team announced the addition of 10 Ospreys to their 2019 team, head coach Kristen Wright announced on Thursday.

"We have added an experienced crew to our program to help achieve our goals," said Wright. "Our team just improved greatly and we can't wait to utilize each of these ladies on the sand."

Breana Edwards
Hometown: Jacksonville, Fla.
High School: Bishop Kenny
Height: 6-3
Previous Team: Florida State
Club: JJVA
Notes: Edwards joins UNF after competing three years at Florida State and helping the Seminoles win three straight CCSA conference championships. Prior to FSU, she was a four-year starter at Bishop Kenny while leading them to back-to-back Class 3A state final four appearances. Edwards was also selected on the A2 USAV National Beach team during the summers of 2013-16.

Jessi Freeman
Hometown: Virginia Beach, Va.
High School: Floyd E. Kellam
Height: 5-10
Previous Team: Stevenson
Club: Tribe Volleyball
Notes: Freeman joins the Ospreys after tallying 614 digs, 192 kills and 89 aces in her high school career. Shel also helped Floyd E. Kellam win the state championship in 2016.

Lauren Galinis
Hometown: Delray Beach, Fla.
High School: Atlantic 
Height: 5-8
Previous Team: Florida Atlantic
Notes: Prior to North Florida, Galinis played at Florida Atlantic where she was named to the Conference-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll. In high school, she was a three-time district champion and a two-year regional finalist.

Antonia Harrison
Hometown: Auckland, New Zealand
High School: Rangitoto College
Height: 6-0
Previous Team: Trinidad State Junior College
Club: North Harbour
Notes: Harrison comes to UNF after previously playing at Trinidad State Junior College. She was a member of the North Harbour club team that won the Region championship and finished runner-up at Club National in 2015 and Region champions and Club National champions in 2016. In high school, she was named beach volleyball player of the year in 2015.

Chantel McMillan
Hometown: Wellington, Fla.
High School: Palm Beach Central
Height: 5-8
Club: VBbeach
Notes: McMillan joins the Ospreys after being a captain in volleyball in all four years at Palm Beach Central. While playing with the VBbeach club team, she earned several bids to junior Olympics in beach volleyball.

Vanessa Richards
Hometown: Tampa, Fla.
High School: Jack Britt
Height: 5-9
Previous Team: Jacksonville
Club: OptimumBeach and Copenhagen Beach Volley
Notes: Richards comes to North Florida from Jacksonville and OptimumBeach and Copenhagen Beach Volley club teams. Richards was a 2015 U18 Carolina Region Beach Championship winner and selected for the USAV U21 High Performance A2 while notching multiple first-place finishes in National Championship Beach qualifiers in 2015 and 2016.

Dana Roskic
Hometown: Toronto, Ontario
High School: Richview Collegiate Institute
Height: 5-10
Club: Leaside Volleyball Club
Notes: Roskic joins UNF after playing at Richview Collegiate Institute and for the Leaside Volleyball Club. She was a Provincial and National bronze medalist as a member of the Leaside Volleyball Club team.

Carleigh Semeniuk
Hometown: Whitby, Ontario
High School: Brooklin
Height: 5-9
Previous Team: Tulane
Club: Canadian National team
Notes: Before joining the Ospreys, Semeniuk played at Tulane and for the Canadian National team. She helped lead her team to two gold and three silver Ontario Provincial titles and was a Canadian NORCECA Becah Trial silver medalist. Semeniuk was a Canadian FIVB World Championship Beach Trial gold medalist and finished 19^th in the world at the U19 World Championships in Cyprus.

Sydni Small
Hometown: Tallahassee, Fla.
High School: Lincoln
Height: 5-6
Club: Tallahassee Volleyball Academy
Notes: Small joins the Ospreys after helping lead her club team to 15 top-three finishes in USAV, AVP and Rox tournaments in 2017 while also being named to the MVP Lincoln Beach team in 2018 and Best Defensive Player Lincoln Beach team in 2017.

Kirby Smith
Hometown: Wrightsville Beach, N.C.
High School: Hoggard
Height: 6-2
Club: Triangle 17 White
Notes: Smith comes to UNF after winning five regional tournaments in the last two years and placing second overall in the Philadelphia national qualifier in 2017 with the Triangle 17 White club team. While in high school, she was named Mid-Eastern Player of the Year, Star News Athlete of the Week and Star News Volleyball Player of the Week three times in 2017.
