JACKSONVILLEÂ - Senior Luise Intert clinched the match against Kennesaw State on her senior day as the Ospreys moved to 5-0 in ASUN play.
QUICK HITS
-Â The Ospreys improve to 15-6 and 5-0 in conference play with just FGCU left on the schedule. UNF fell to the Eagles during the regular season last year before coming back and beating them on their home court in the ASUN Championship match.Â
- North Florida once again grabbed the doubles point - this time with wins in the No. 1 and No. 3 positions.
- Due to an injury, the line up shifted up one spot to have Lucia Montano playing in the No. 2 position, but she had no trouble. The sophomore dominated Laura Hopton with a 6-0, 6-1 victory.
- Playing in the No. 4 spot, freshman Valentina Mariotto took down Jessica Cantrell, 6-0, 6-2.
- Intert battled from three games down in the opening set to win, 7-5 and then made quick work of Kennedy Craig as she shut her out in set two, 6-0 for the clinch.
- The women did not complete their match due to the men's match directly following.Â
- Rafaela Gomez, Florencia Rossi and Kinga Gartner were all leading when the match was clinched.
