JACKSONVILLE – North Florida used a stellar squeeze bunt to defeat Lipscomb in the opening game of the series before the Bisons bats got hot in game two to split the day.

GAME 1 CAPSULE
- Sophomore Morgan Blourne and junior Sydney Matzko combined to keep the Bisons off the board as they gave up five hits and struck out six. Blourne moved to 6-6, while Matzko picked up her first save of the year.
- Lipscomb's starter Mandy Jordan surrendered five hits, two walks, while fanning four.
- The Ospreys had a runner reach in each inning, but it wasn't until the fifth when they got something going.
- Kayla McGory led off the inning by getting hit by a pitch before stealing second. She then advanced on a fly out to third.
- Junior Tiffany Lower laid down a perfect bunt that allowed McGory to come home and her to reach first for the 1-0 lead.
- It ended up being all UNF needed for the game as each time Lipscomb threatened, the North Florida defense made the right plays to end each inning.
GAME 2 CAPSULE
- Game two went in Lipscomb's favor from the first inning and it never looked back. Two hits in the opening frame allowed one run to score.
- The Bisons added on two when Abby Fenichel sent a two-run homer to left field for the 3-0 advantage.
- North Florida then quieted the visitors bats over the next three innings before Lipscomb's bats heated up.
- A leadoff double followed by a single allowed a run to come across before Hannah DeVault sent a home run to left field for the 6-0 advantage.
- The Ospreys scored their run on a sac fly from Becca Enter.

North Florida closes out the series against the Bisons at 10 a.m. The game was moved up due to bad weather forecasted in the Jacksonville area later on Sunday.
