GAME 1 CAPSULE
  • Sophomore Morgan Blourne and junior Sydney Matzko combined to keep the Bisons off the board as they gave up five hits and struck out six. Blourne moved to 6-6, while Matzko picked up her first save of the year.
  • Lipscomb's starter Mandy Jordan surrendered five hits, two walks, while fanning four.
  • The Ospreys had a runner reach in each inning, but it wasn't until the fifth when they got something going.
  • Kayla McGory led off the inning by getting hit by a pitch before stealing second. She then advanced on a fly out to third.
  • Junior Tiffany Lower laid down a perfect bunt that allowed McGory to come home and her to reach first for the 1-0 lead.
  • It ended up being all UNF needed for the game as each time Lipscomb threatened, the North Florida defense made the right plays to end each inning.

GAME 2 CAPSULE
  • Game two went in Lipscomb's favor from the first inning and it never looked back. Two hits in the opening frame allowed one run to score.
  • The Bisons added on two when Abby Fenichel sent a two-run homer to left field for the 3-0 advantage.
  • North Florida then quieted the visitors bats over the next three innings before Lipscomb's bats heated up.
  • A leadoff double followed by a single allowed a run to come across before Hannah DeVault sent a home run to left field for the 6-0 advantage.
  • The Ospreys scored their run on a sac fly from Becca Enter.
