JACKSONVILLE - North Florida women's tennis had no trouble pushing past former ASUN rival, ETSU, with a 6-1 win on Sunday afternoon at the UNF Tennis Complex.
QUICK HITS
- The top doubles team of Rafaela Gomez and
Luise Intert only allowed ETSU(4-8) to grab two games as they grabbed the first point. The No. 3 pair of Kinga Garnter and
Florencia Rossi took a 6-3 match to own the doubles point for UNF (8-4).
- In singles, Rossi made quick work of her opponent in the No. 6 spot, surrendering just three games.

Valentina Mariotto finished with a 6-3, 6-2 win in the No. 5 spot to make it 3-0 and Intert quickly followed with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 4 to clinch the match.
- North Florida grabbed its final point after freshman
Eva Nyikos battled back from losing her first set. She then pushed through with a 6-1 win in the second and a tight 11-9 tiebreak victory.
- ETSU's lone point came at No. 1.
