- Senior Ashley Niesman recorded two hits and had the lone extra-base hit of the game.
GAME CAPSULE
- In the second, the Dolphins struck first when a walk and a single followed by a sac bunt put runners on second and third. Another single allowed one run to score before a ground out brought the other one in for a 2-0 lead.
- Jacksonville then scored another run on an RBI single up the middle and tried to score two, but a stellar play from Kayla McGory to Alex Arciola ended the threat.
- The home team juiced the bases again in the fifth looking to push their lead, but Sydney Matzko got a strikeout and a lineout to end the chance.
- The Ospreys scored their first run in the fifth when Penrod hit a single to right field, but was misplayed to allow Ashley Niesman to score from second after she hit a double. With Penrod on third due to the error, the Dolphins got the final out to end the inning.
- UNF tried to comeback in the seventh inning when McGory hit a two-out RBI single to make it a 3-2 game.
- With two left on, Tiffany Lower hit a great ball to right field, but Jacksonville's Kristen Griffith made an amazing snag to end the game.
