Box Score Jacksonville, Fla. – North Florida men's tennis snuck past College of Charleston in a tightly played 4-3 victory on Wednesday evening at the UNF Tennis Complex.

QUICK HITS
- After the Cougars took the No. 5 spot, it came down to the final set in the No. 1 position and Jefta Kecic sat Juan Estevarena down, in three, 6-3, 6-7 (2-7), 6-1.
- North Florida kicked off the night with the doubles points after Sahil Deshmukh and Till Von Winning cruised to a 6-1 win in the No. 2 position followed by a win in the No. 3 spot from Alberto De Meo and Nilo Duarte.
- Deshmukh continued his hot play with a win in the No. 3 spot, giving up just two games in his victory.
- CofC then evened the score with a win in the No. 6 and No. 2 spots.
- Von Winning pushed past his opponent in the No. 4 singles to put UNF out front again.

Coach Lucas Says
"It was a tough one. It is always nice to come out with a win, but we made it a little harder on ourselves than it should have been. We had some opportunities that we let squander away, but I am proud of our fight and our energy is what I'm asking for. The execution wasn't great, but credit to Charleston who battled the whole way through. We found a way to get over the line which is what it is all about. At the end of the day, as long as there is a four next to UNF I am a happy coach no matter what it looks like to get there. It was good to get a win and we want to carry that momentum to Friday night against FGCU.  It should be a fun event with a big crowd and we're excited."
