JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida softball was unable to get a run as McNeese won, 6-0, on Wednesday night at the Jacksonville Pruitt Softball Complex.

TOP PERFORMERS
- Freshman Taylor Scott extended her hit streak to six games with a hit as she was one of five Ospreys to record a ding.
- Junior Navia Penrod also extended a reached base for the sixth straight game as well as she earned the lone walk from Alex Flores.
GAME CAPSULE
- The Cowgirls got on the board in the second when the Ospreys overthrew second base and allowed runners on the corner.
- The next batter sent a short hit down the first base line and allowed the run to score. McNeese then capitalized on an infield hit to score the second run of the game.
- From there, McNeese added three runs in the third after a hit by pitch and a walk came in on a double and sac fly. A double steal allowed another run to come in for the 5-0 advantage.
- A one-out double plated the final run of the game.
- North Florida stranded five on base in the loss.
- Sydney Matzko was tagged with the loss as she gave up four hits, four earned runs, three walks and striking out five. Morgan Blourne came in relief for three innings to surrender three hits, two walks, while fanning four.
- Flores earned the win in a complete game with just five hits, one walk and five strikeouts.
