JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida softball went to extra innings against Hostra and it was the Pride who came out on top with a 4-1 win on Tuesday afternoon at Jacksonville's Pruitt Softball Complex.

- Junior Navia Penrod went 3-for-4 with a run scored, while three other Ospreys recorded hits.

GAME CAPSULE
- Hofstra struck first in the top of the fifth when three straight singles loaded the bases before a walk brought in the run for the 1-0 lead.
- The Ospreys answered in the bottom of the sixth when Penrod hit a double to right center and moved over on a ground out.
- McGory then dropped a well-placed bunt to allow Penrod to speed home and tie the game.
- In the ninth, the Pride put two on and pinch hitter, Kimberly Wert, slammed a three-run homer to give Hofstra the 4-1 lead.
- North Florida couldn't get anything going in the final frame as relief pitcher Sophie Dandola sat the home team down in order.
