JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - An ASUN Volleyball Championship berth is on the line this weekend as the Ospreys host North Alabama and NJIT. UNF will honor its seniors, Madilyn McCarty, Asante Lopez and Alana Shoff on Senior Night Saturday against the Highlanders.

General admission tickets for the matches are $5.00 while students with a valid Osprey1 card and infants two and under are admitted at no cost.

DELAND, Fla. - The host Hatters hit .400 to top the Ospreys in straight-sets Tuesday, Oct. 30, in North Florida's (9-21, 4-10 ASUN) final road test of the regular season.

• Senior Madilyn McCarty notched her 10th double-double of the year and redshirt-sophomore Gabby O'Connell tied for the match lead with 12 kills.

Quite a Career

• Senior setter Madilyn McCarty is sixth all-time in UNF history for assists with 2,174.
• She collected 1,229 assists at Winthrop before transferring to UNF after her freshman year.
• If you take into account both totals she would be third all-time.
• She currently leads all ASUN setters in kills (121).

Outsides Who Dig

• Redshirt-sophomore Gabby O'Connell is one of the best two-way players in the league.
• O'Connell has 282 kills and 295 digs, leading all ASUN outside hitters in digs.

Transfer Transformation

• Five players arrived to UNF via a transfer from another school.
• Madilyn McCarty, Asante Lopez, Emma Dixon, Madison Donnelly and Alana Shoff are all transfers and each have contributed heavily in the Navy and Gray.

Where We Stand

• Six of the nine ASUN teams make the ASUN Volleyball Championship.
• UNF is currently sixth in the league, one game ahead of seventh place Jacksonville.
• The Ospreys have a magic number of one, needing a Jacksonville loss or a UNF win to clinch.

• The Highlanders are on a 10-match slide after falling at North Alabama Tuesday, 3-1. The last time NJIT was on the right side of things was October 9 after a sweep of visiting North Alabama.
• NJIT is 0-3 at the UNF Arena. In three matches it has yet to take a set from the Ospreys in Jacksonville.
• Senior Adriana Nieto is one of the best defensive players in the conference. She is second in the ASUN with 485 digs.
