Senior setter
Madilyn McCarty became the seventh Osprey to eclipse 2,000 assists with 28 helpers during Friday's match at FGCU. She has 2,061 assists, 31 shy of sixth in UNF history. If you take into account her 1,229 assists as a freshman at Winthrop she would be third in the Navy and Gray. She is second in the ASUN with 820 assists.
Dual Threat
Junior
Taryn Griffey posted 11 kills Sunday at Liberty, her 15th match with double-digit kills this season. She is fifth in the conference in kills (286) and third in blocks (99), the only player in the ASUN to be in the top five in both categories.
Division II to Division I
Sophomore
Madison Donnelly has factored in nicely as a libero and defensive specialist in her first season with the Ospreys after transferring from Division II Belmont Abbey. Donnelly is 14th in the ASUN in digs (212), and third for UNF behind redshirt-sophomore
Gabby O'Connell (272) and sophomore
Callie Workman (214). The Saint Johns, Fla., native registered 65 digs and 20 aces last season.
River City Rumble
Tuesday marks the second meeting between the crosstown foes in the 2018 edition of the River City Rumble. UNF took the season's first encounter, 3-0, Tuesday, Sept. 25 at UNF. The River City Rumble is a season-long series between the two school's intercollegiate athletics programs. UNF has taken all three meetings this season (volleyball, men's soccer, women's soccer).
