OPENING SERVE
The Ospreys used a balanced offensive attack to defeat Florida A&M in straight sets on Wednesday. UNF is looking for its first ASUN win following a four-set loss last Friday to Jacksonville.
NOTES
- The Blue and Gray head into the weekend with 145 blocks which tops the ASUN.
- The Ospreys are led by a trio of players in the top five as Alana Shoff maintains her lead with 78 along with Taryn Griffey sitting in a tie for third with 50 and Carina Hoff in fifth with 48.
- Over her last five matches, Shoff is averaging 5.2 blocks per match.
- UNF sits in second in the conference with 743 kills just seven behind NJIT. It is one of two ASUN teams with four players tallying at least 100 kills as Hoff has 170, Griffey has 142, Katarina Raicevic has 130 and Devyn Wheeler has 109.
- Griffey had a .643 hitting percentage in Wednesday's win and enters play on Friday third in the ASUN, hitting .326 on the season. Over her last five matches she is hitting a team best .352 with 45 kills.

- NJIT comes into Friday's matchup with an 8-8 record after winning on Wednesday in three sets over Saint Peter's. The Highlanders fell in their only league matchup to USC Upstate in five sets last weekend.
- Offensively, the Highlanders are led by Tess Albyn with 179 kills who is third in the conference while also averaging 3.09 kills per set. Adriana Nieto leads the ASUN with 31 aces putting her in the top ten nationally entering Friday's match. Nieto also has a conference-leading 276 digs entering the weekend.
- USC Upstate enters the weekend at 4-10 coming off their win over NJIT last Saturday.
- Madison Haake leads the Spartans with 367 helpers ranking her fourth in the conference while Kaleigh Kelley leads on the defensive side with 227 digs putting her in third in the league.
SERIES HISTORY
- The Ospreys defeated NJIT in all four previous meetings coming into Friday's match and have won all four in straight sets.
- UNF and USC Upstate renew the oldest rivalry in UNF volleyball history as they will play Sunday afternoon for the 43rd time. North Florida holds a commanding 33-9 advantage in the series however Upstate has taken the last two matches including both the home regular season and ASUN tournament meeting last year.
