Ospreys Comeback Comes Up Short at FAMU

Tallahassee, Fla. -Â North Florida volleyball battled back from two sets down against Florida A&M but came out on the wrong end of a five set loss on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Ospreys and Lady Rattlers traded points early and eventually got to 8-8 before UNF went on a 4-1 run to take the 12-9 lead.
- After the two teams went back and forth again, the Ospreys pulled away with a 19-15 lead and eventually moved to 22-19 before Florida A&M made its run.
- It was then that the set turned and the home team went on a 7-2 run to take the first set, 26-24.
- The second set started very similar to the first with eight early ties which to knot the score at 13 before North Florida jumped on a 7-2 stretch for the 20-15 lead.Â
- FAMU responded with a quick jaunt of its own to take back the lead, 22-20.
- North Florida once against pushed ahead for a 24-22 advantage, but the Rattlers scored four straight to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
- In the third set, UNF took an early 9-6 lead before FAMU rattled off a 9-1 run to take a 15-10 lead. The Ospreys though wouldn't go quietly as they flipped momentum to their side and took an 18-16 lead with an 8-1 run of their own.
- Back-to-back North Florida errors allowed the Rattlers to get within one and force an Osprey timeout, but it was short lived as UNF came out of the break to score the final four points and make it 2-1.
- The fourth set featured 12 ties with the final at 24 before a kill from Raicevic and a FAMU attack error forced a final frame.
- The Rattlers jumped out to a 5-2 lead in the fifth before the Ospreys tired the match at 7-all.
- With the score knotted at 12, Florida A&MÂ rattled off with three straight to win the match. Â

- Raicevic had a team-high 17 kills in the match and is just one of her career-high set last October against Jacksonville.
- Turner picked up her third double-double with 11 kills and 31 assists and narrowly had another triple-double with nine digs.
