QUICK HITS
  • Freshman Kayla McGory recorded to sacrifice flies which ended up being all the Ospreys needed in the win.
  • Senior Logan Green pitched another shut out with just four hits and three walks surrendered, while junior Amanda Blanchard came in for an inning of relief to record the save with a strikeout and no hits.
  • Green recorded her second straight shutout of the weekend and her fifth on the year to move to 13-14 overall.
  • Sophomore Navia Penrod recorded two hits and is now just one smack shy of the UNF single-season record with three regular series games left.

GAME CAPSULE
  • North Florida recorded a sacrifice fly in the first and third and it proved to be all the offense the Ospreys would need.
  • Green helped JU strand five runners through the first six innings, while Blanchard ended the threat with a strikeout to end the game.
  • In the first, Taylor Aguayo beat a throw from shortstop to take first before back-to-back bunt singles put her on third.
  • McGory then sent a deep ball to left field to bring in Aguayo for the 1-0 lead.
  • In the third, Penrod led off with a double before stealing third. Penrod then came home on almost a duplicate play with McGory sending a high ball to left field for the 2-0 lead.
  • Jacksonville threatened in the second, fourth and seventh inning with runners on third base, but the Ospreys ended the threat each time.
