SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Freshman
Kayla McGory scored the lone run in a 4-1 loss at USC Upstate on Saturday afternoon at Cyrill Stadium.
Game two of the doubleheader was postponed due to heavy rainfall in the Spartanburg area. The game is now scheduled to resume at 12 p.m. on Sunday with the Spartans leading 1-0 in the top of the second.

- With the loss, North Florida becomes the three seed in the upcoming ASUN Touranment, while USC Upstate claims its fourth-straight ASUN Regular Season Title.
- Freshman Kayla McGory had one of two hits against the Spartans in the opening game of the series.

Game 1
- McGory added the only run for UNF with her fifth home run of the season as she sent a 2-1 pitch over the left field fence.
- Upstate evened things up with a home run of its own from Abbie Millete in the bottom of the frame.
- In the third, Ansley Gilstrap led off with a double before coming around to score on an RBI single from Millete.
- The Spartans pushed across one run in the fourth and fifth as well for a 4-1 lead. In the third, a run came around to score on an Osprey error before Ryan Rector hit a home run in the fifth to give the Spartans all they needed to win the game.
- Holly McKinnon pitched a complete game for Upstate with just two hits and four strikeouts.
