GAME CAPSULE
Game 1
  • UNF opened the game with a run in the first when Macayla Kelley sent a double down the left field line to score Penrod for the 1-0 lead.
  • Both teams failed to get on the board until the Osprey broke the game opening with a five-run fifth inning.
  • A single and a walk put two on until a double from Penrod allowed Casey Estes to score.
  • Another walk put two on for McGory who put a double into right center to score two more runs.
  • After a pitching change, Cocuzza sent a 1-1 pitch down the left line to bring in McGory and Kelley for the 6-0 lead.
  • Kennesaw State got on the board with three runs in the sixth. With two outs, a double put a runner on before a single to deep right field allowed the runner to score.
  • With runners on second and third, an errant throw allowed the two runs to come on and extend the inning.
  • The Ospreys got out of the jam on a ground out with the score at 6-3.
  • North Florida added an addition run when Penrod singled down the left line to bring in Estes who reached on a walk.
  • Besides the sixth inning, Green and the Osprey defense allowed just one runner to reach second base.
Game 2
  • Kennesaw State had back-to-back doubles to score its lone run of the game in the first inning.
  • The Owls threatened in second and fourth, but both times UNF left the runners stranded. In total, KSU left six runners on base.
  • North Florida scored its two runs in the first when Aguayo reached on an error and came around to score on McGory's third double of the day.
  • McGory came around to score on a wild pitch which ended up being the game-winning run as the Ospreys left six on the pond as well.
