GAME CAPSULE

  • In the second, the Owls added three more when a hit by pitch and back-to-back singles loaded the bases and forced a UNF pitching change.

  • Blanchard came in relief in the third and allowed just two batters to reach second for the remainder of the game.
  • The Ospreys tried to get things going in the final inning when a hit by pitch came around to score on an overthrow to first for the first run.
  • With one on, pinch hitter Jen Valle tossed a single on the right side and put two on before Taylor Aguayo loaded the bases with her shallow single.
  • Penrod then sent an infield single to the short stop allowing a run to score and keep the bases loaded, but Viers settled in and got the next two outs without issue to end the game.
