GAINESVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball played tough with No. 3 Florida, but two home runs helped the Gators push past the Ospreys 5-1.

Freshman Mary Rodriguez sailed a double down the left line to bring in Ashley Niesman for the lone run of the day.
Niesman reached on a single to deep second base.
Sophomore Navia Penrod was 2-for-3 on the day and the lone Osprey to record more than one hit.
The Ospreys limited Florida to seven hits on the day with just one error.
Amanda Blanchard (4-3) pitched the complete game with seven hits, four earned runs and one strikeout.

GAME CAPSULE

Florida got things started early with a home run from Amanda Lorenz before adding another run on a sac fly.
In the second, Lorenz hit her second homer of the day, this time with a runner on to make it a 4-0 lead after two.
The Gators added their final run of the game when Lorenz earned a bases-loaded walk.
In the top of the fifth, UNF got on the board when Rodriguez sent her double - the only extra-base hit for the Ospreys - down the left field line to bring in Niesman.

OUTSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Jenna Brownell now leads the team with 12 straight games reaching base.
- Penrod has now had two or more hits in 20 games and.
