JACKSONVILLE - Despite North Florida softball splitting with Jacksonville, the Ospreys clinched a spot in the ASUN Tournament on Sunday afternoon at the UNF Softball Field.

QUICK HITS
- Freshman Kayla McGory hit her fourth home run of the season as she went 3-for-5 on the day with four runs scored and an RBI, while earning two walks.
- Sophomore Dominica Cocuzza also tallied three hits along with three RBI on the day.
- Thanks to her second home run of the season, Jenna Brownell also had three RBI in game one.
- On her senior day, starting pitcher Logan Green tossed the complete game shut out with just two hits, two walks and two strikeouts to move to 12-14 on the year. Green and the UNF defense allowed just two batters to get to second.

Game 1
- North Florida scored a trio of runs in the first and fifth innings and single runs in the third and sixth innings to take the series opened, 8-0, in six innings.
- Cocuzza made it 1-0 Ospreys with a hard-hit double down the left field line and a passed ball allowed a second UNF base runner to cross home.
- Macayla Kelley then drove in UNF's third run with a single into shallow right field before the Dolphins were able to get out of the inning.
- With one out, McGory tripled to left field before coming around on a sacrifice fly out to left field.
- In the fifth, with two on, Brownell jacked her second home run of the year as the home team pulled ahead, 7-0.
- With one out and the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth, Cocuzza drove in the game-winning run on a single through the left side to end the game with an 8-0 Osprey advantage and secure a spot in the ASUN Tournament.
Game 2
- Jacksonville got on the board in the top of the third after Danielle Baker took a 2-2 pitch over the wall in left center with runners on first and second to put JU up, 3-0
- UNF answered after Ashley Niesman doubled to left field before a Jacksonville error allowed her to come around on Alex Arciola's bunt to make it a 3-1 game.
- In the fourth inning, McGory smacked a leadoff homerun to cut the advantage, but after a pitching change, the Dolphins ended any more threats.
- After coming into relief in the third, Amanda Blanchard kept most of the Dolphins off the board, but JU took advantage in the seventh to add an extra run for the 4-2 game.
- Blanchard tossed 4.2 innings of work with just three hits and four strikeouts. Morgan Blourne was tagged with just her fifth loss of the season after surrendering five hits and three runs with two walks and two strikeouts.
- Alyssa Bilodeau came in relief after McGory's home run and quieted the Ospreys bat with just one hit and one strikeout in the win.

- McGory is now on a seven-game hit streak and has reached safely in seven games.
