GAME CAPSULE
Game 1
  • North Florida tacked on two runs in the bottom of the second thanks to a dropped fly ball that would have ended the inning.
  • A five-run fourth inning got started with back-to-back singles from Casey Estes and Niesman. The duo scored on Arciola's hit to right field.
  • With the bases now empty, Taylor Aguayo singled before stealing home and came home on Penrod's hit up the middle.
  • Another single, this time from Macayla Kelley, put two on for McGory's triple to deep right field making it a 7-0 game.
  • After keeping the Columbia bats quiet in the top of the fifth, an Arciola double allowed Niesman to score and end the game in five innings.

Game 2
  • In game two, UNF scored in the first, third, fifth and sixth to run-rule the Lions.
  • Aguayo opened the game with a single followed by Penrod before a sacrifice bunt moved the runners to third and second.
  • McGory brought in the first run on a sacrifice fly followed by a single from Dominica Cocuzza to bring in two.
  • Kelley recorded another single to bring in Penrod who reached on her own single.
  • On Estes at bat, Kelley came around to score to make it a 4-0 game.
  • In the bottom of the fifth, the Ospreys led off with two hits before back-to-back doubles scored a trio of runs with UNF needing just one run to end the game.
  • Relief pitcher Maura Lynch sat the final batters down to go to the sixth.
  • Blourne stepped up in the top of the frame, allowing just one batter to reach and looking for the Osprey offense to close out the game.
  • North Florida did just that with a single from Penrod followed by a stolen base. McGory then hit a long single to bring Penrod around and end the game.

OUTSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Aguayo and Cocuzza are both on a six-game hit streak, while Cocuzza has also reached base in nine straight contests.
