JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida volleyball returns home for a pair of matches against USC Upstate and NJIT to wrap up the 2017 regular season.
OPENING SERVE
The Ospreys look to defend their home court this weekend, winning each of the last three times at UNF Arena. North Florida looks to punch a ticket to its fourth straight ASUN Tournament.
NOTES
- After joining the 1,000 dig club last weekend, Ashley LaBorde enters Friday with 487 digs, which leads the ASUN. She also sits sixth in the UNF single-season record book in digs.
- North Florida enters the weekend leading the conference with 1,243 assists. Carinne Turner has 462 helpers, while Madilyn McCarty sits at 392. The two of them sit eighth and ninth respectively.
- UNF continues to lead the league in blocks. Alana Shoff has 116 rejections to pace the ASUN, while Taryn Griffey is third with 86 and Carina Hoff adds 69 stops.
- Katarina Raicevic tops UNF with 30 aces, which puts her second in the ASUN. She also has 18 aces in league play, including one in seven of North Florida's last eight matches.
- After Saturday's match against NJIT, the Ospreys will honor seniors Carina Hoff, Sadie Thurston, Carinne Turner and Katarina Raicevic for their contributions to the North Florida volleyball program.

- Upstate enters Friday's contest with an 8-18 record after sweeping Stetson and falling to FGCU in four last weekend.
- Madison Haake leads the Spartans with 742 assists, which ranks fourth in the conference. She also has five triple-doubles, which ranks third in the nation. Kaleigh Kelley leads on the defensive side with 365 digs, while Haake has 269, while both rank inside the top 10 in the ASUN.
- NJIT carries a 12-17 mark after falling in straight sets to FGCU and beating Stetson in five last weekend.
- Offensively, the Highlanders are led by Tess Albyn with 336 kills, who is third in the conference, and averages 3.36 kills per set. Adriana Nieto leads the ASUN with 40 aces, while ranking third in the ASUN with 416 digs.
SERIES HISTORY
- The Ospreys look to bounce back after dropping their first all-time meeting against NJIT earlier this season. North Florida had won in all four previous meetings before falling to the Highlanders.
- UNF and Upstate renew the oldest rivalry in Osprey volleyball history, playing for the 44th time. North Florida holds a commanding 33-10 advantage in the series. However, Upstate has taken the last three matches.

- North Florida could clinch an ASUN playoff spot with a win against the Spartans along with a Jacksonville win against NJIT on Friday. The Ospreys are currently in sixth place entering the weekend looking for a playoff spot in next week's tournament in Nashville hosted by Lipscomb.
