JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida volleyball fell in a straight set match at Lipscomb in ASUN play on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the opening set, the two teams traded points with five ties in the early going and eventually knotted the score at 8. The Ospreys responded with an 8-4 run to take a 16-12 advantage in the set.
- The Bisons responded with a 7-3 run to tie the match up again at 19-all before the two teams traded mini runs down the stretch. Lipscomb was able to hang on for a 25-23 set win.
- The second set started much like the opening stanza with the two teams trading points thru five ties until eventually reaching a 9-9 score.
- After each team traded 6-1 runs, the set stayed tight until Lipscomb broke a 22-22 tie finishing it off with three unanswered points
- In the third stanza, the Bisons jumped out to an early 9-3 advantage and never looked back in the set
- The Ospreys got to within three at 9-6, but that's as close as it would get after LU mounted a 10-5 run and closed the match with the 25-14 decision.
- Lipscomb hit a blistering .464 in the decisive set, while holding North Florida to just .083.
QUICK HITS
- Shoff had five blocks in the contest putting her at an ASUN leading 116 rejections for the season. It marks the 11th time on the campaign she's had 5+ blocks. She now needs just four more to crack the top 10 for single season blocks in North Florida history.
- Wheeler paced the Osprey attack with 10 kills, marking the seventh time this season she's been the team's kill leader
- Turner picked up her 13th 20+ assist performance having accomplished the feat in each of the last six contests.

UP NEXT
UNF returns home to close out the regular season welcoming USC Upstate and NJIT for senior weekend. The Ospreys battle Upstate Friday at 7 p.m. before hosting NJIT at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Senior day festivities will take place following Saturday's contest.
