KENNESAW, Ga. - Freshman
Thais Reiss took just one shot in the game, but it was the one that mattered as she pushed North Florida women's soccer to a 1-0 win at Kennesaw State at Fifth Third Bank Stadium on a wet Sunday afternoon.
North Florida now moves to 9-4 overall and a 3-2 ASUN mark to sit in third place behind FGCU and Lipscomb who are tied for first with 10 points each. Kennesaw State drops to 6-6-3 on the year and 1-3-1 in league action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After just two chances for each team, North Florida scored early to give itself a lead it never gave up.
- Junior Krista Colubiale beat a defender in the middle of the field and took the ball to the right side of the field. She found freshman Thais Reiss in the middle unguarded where Reiss fired home her sixth goal of the season into the upper left side of the goal.
- Kennesaw State had one more chance for the half, but the Ospreys defense kept the Owls at bay.
- North Florida recorded just seven shots on the day which is its lowest of the season.
CONFER'S CORNER
"I am really proud of how the team responded to Friday night. We knew the weather would be a factor today and we stressed getting an early goal. Krista did a great job of solving two players and playing a great pass to Thais who finished it nicely. The conference this year is very tight and every point is crucial. We are happy to add another three points to our total."
