Ospreys Close Non-Conference Slate Monday Against Ga. Southern

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida volleyball welcomes Georgia Southern to UNF Arena on Monday for the final non-conference match for the Ospreys.

OPENING SERVE
The Ospreys look to avenge a three-set loss to the Eagles earlier this season at the Battle In The Boro.
 
NOTES
  • Defensively, Ashley LaBorde maintains her ASUN lead with 392 digs. The junior's performance last weekend was highlighted by a career-high 34 digs in the Ospreys win over Stetson. She also owns a conference-leading 146 digs in ASUN play.
  • The Ospreys top the ASUN with 1,052 kills, boasting five players with at least 100 kills each. Carina Hoff leads the attack with 229 kills, putting her sixth in the conference just ahead of teammate Taryn Griffey with 198 kills. Katarina Raicevic ranks tenth with 184 kills.
  • With the Ospreys extending their stranglehold on the conference lead in blocking, UNF is paced by league leader Alana Shoff with 97 blocks. Taryn Griffey ranks third with 72 and Carina Hoff sits in fifth with 67.
  • Carinne Turner has led the Ospreys in assists during nine of the last 13 matches averaging 5.7 assists per set during that stretch. Turner highlighted that stretch with her career-high smashing 59 helpers in the squad's win at Stetson.
 OPPONENTS
  • Georgia Southern enters Monday's matchup at 7-12 following a four-set win over Troy and a three-set loss to South Alabama this past weekend.
  • The Eagles are led offensively by Cathrine Murray's 73 kills. She has also tallied 16 aces and 144 digs this season. April Luther ranks fourth in the Sun Belt with her 580 helpers, a 9.67 assists per set average.
