JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -Â North Florida volleyball fell in three sets to USC Upstate on Sunday at the G.B. Hodge Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the opening set, the teams traded points before Upstate eventually pushed their lead out to 17-12.Â
- The Ospreys tried to mount a comeback with a 5-1 run highlighted by a pair of aces from Raicevic to cut their deficit to one, 18-17. The hosts then stretched their advantage back out to 22-18, but North Florida laid down six unanswered to take a 24-22 lead.
- Upstate fought off two set points from UNF before the two teams battled back and forth with six set points between them and the Spartans walked away with the 30-28 win.
- The Blue and Gray came out quick in the second set with an 8-3 run highlighted by 5-0 run to start the frame. The Spartans responded with a 7-3 run of their own to cut the UNF advantage to one, 11-10.
- The two teams traded stretches throughout before UNF once again grabbed a 24-22 advantage, but Upstate scored four unanswered to take set two, 26-24.
- In the third stanza, Upstate jumped all over UNF with a 15-4 run to open the set and never looked back as it took the third set 25-17. The Spartans hit .250 with 13 kills while forcing the Ospreys into eight errors and a .031 hitting percentage.
QUICK HITS
- Raicevic recorded a career-high four aces in the match. She had three aces in five other matches prior to today.
- Hoff has led the Ospreys in kills in a team-high nine matches.
