Match Summary
Despite a consistent attack from the Ospreys in the first half, it was the Owls who broke the 0-0 stalemate in the 10th minute on Maggie Gaughan's first goal of the the night. Kennesaw State took advantage of an Osprey turnover in the midfield and a deflected pass found Gaughan's foot for the breakaway opportunity. The 1-0 score would stand at the halftime horn and so did the Osprey shot advantage at 10-3.

Besides the Osprey goal, the script flipped in the final 45 minutes. Kennesaw State created a number of chances in the second half, ultimately finishing the half with a 10-4 shot advantage. Ligouri and the Ospreys used some deceptive maneuvers on the set piece goal I the 64th minute. Liguori placed a perfect ball over the outstretched arms of Owl keeper Mady Carter and under the crossbar for her first goal of the season. It didn't take long for the Owls to respond, in fact just 4 minutes and 15 seconds of game time. Isabella Contreras found Gaughan with a sharp pass across the box for the game-winning score.
