JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The third annual University of North Florida Blue & Gray Payday presented by Angie's Subs was held on Saturday, May 14 with purchased and marked golf balls dropped from a helicopter hovering over UNF's Harmon Stadium.
The Blue & Gray Payday is a fundraising opportunity for UNF Athletics with all proceeds of the event benefitting the Osprey Club, which funds scholarships, athletic facilities and sport specific operating funds. The event involves numbered golf balls, that were sold at a price of $100 each, being dropped from a helicopter hovering 30-40 feet above a grass area that is marked with a golf flag pin. The Blue & Gray Payday balls were dropped onto the outfield just behind second base of UNF's Dusty Rhodes Field at Harmon Stadium.
