JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's basketball did not disappoint the fans who waited more than two weeks to see the Ospreys play back at home as the team downed Edward Waters, 70-50, on Saturday afternoon at the UNF Arena.

OPENING TIP
- The six non conference wins three shy of the 2014-15 team. After 10 games, that squad was also 6-4.
- Each player hit at least one field goal on the day led by a game-high 13 points from Tesh Hanson.
- Hanson narrowly missed a double-double with a game-high nine rebounds.
- Simone Brown joined Hanson in double digits with 10 points with four assists and five rebounds.
- Each player had at least two rebounds and the team recorded 22 offensive boards, its highest output of the season.
- It was the first time in 13 games that Claire Ioannidis did not reach double figures and just her seventh time in 37 games missing the mark.

GAME TRENDS
- The teams traded baskets in the opening five minutes of the half until a lay up from Maiya Rumph put the Ospreys out front where they stayed for the game.
- UNF held Edward Waters without a basket for more than five minutes as the hosts owned a 17-12 lead after one.
- Freshman Kirsten Clement gave UNF a 26-16 lead at 5:20 in the second frame, but the Tigers kept chipping away at the Ospreys' lead pulling to within 28-24 on a lay up.
- The Ospreys eventually pushed their lead back to seven on a pair of free throws from Rumph to make it a 33-26 game at the half.
- Edward Waters was scoreless until the 6:49 mark in the third where Bianca Thorton hit a pair of free throws. The Tigers first field goal of the second half came from Mia Leite at 3:56 left in the frame.
- Hadley Kiefer's three-pointer in the third broke a scoreless streak from long range for UNF and gave it the biggest lead of the day at 46-30. Down the stretch, EWC battled back to make it a 48-39 game after three complete.
- In the final quarter, the Ospreys took their double figure lead back for good on a three-pointer from Sierra Shepherd and remained in front for the game. 
- UNF eventually took its biggest lead of the day on a free throw from Hanson, 68-48 with 2:55 to play.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
- UNF was held without a three-pointer until Hadley Kiefer's long ball at 2:49 in the third. 
- The two three-pointers are North Florida's lowest output since March 6, 2015 when FGCU held the Ospreys to two treys.
- It is the fifth time this season that the Ospreys have recorded double figure second-chance points with 16.
- North Florida held the Tigers to less than 15 points in each quarter.
- The 25 bench points are the second most for this season.
- UNF had just 15 turnovers which was a season-low in games won.
