HOW IT HAPPENED
North Florida outhit the Highlanders in every set including the final set that was .296 to -.031. In set one, the Ospreys ran out to a 10-3 thanks to five points on O'Connell's serves including two of her four aces. The home team got to within five, 19-14, but North Florida was too much and ran away with the opening set victory.

Set two was the visitors from the start as NJIT could never get a lead. UNF took led by as many as seven and let NJIT come back in the late part of the frame. The Ospreys had set point at 24-17, but the Highlanders rattled off five straight points to pull within two. However, a final kill from O'Connell gave UNF the 2-0 lead.

In the final set, the Ospreys raced out to a 16-8 lead and only allowed the Highlanders to record two more points as they won their second straight match in straight sets. UNF had a match-high five aces and NJIT only recorded seven kills in the last stanza.
