2015 ASun Championship BracketFORT MYERS, Fla. -- The North Florida sand volleyball team begins play in the 2015 Atlantic Sun Championship tournament against tournament host Florida Gulf Coast on Friday at 9 a.m. at Estero Community Park.
The Ospreys, who have claimed two of the previous three ASun Tournament titles, finished the regular season 9-10 overall and 4-4 in conference play. UNF tied for second with Jacksonville and Mercer but enter the this weekend's tournament as the No. 4 seed following tiebreaker procedures.
North Florida claimed a pair of 3-2 wins over the Eagles during the regular season.
The championship tournament is a double-elimination bracket and with a win in their opening match, UNF would advance to a 1 p.m. meeting with top-seeded Stetson on Friday. A loss would push the Ospreys into an elimination match against the loser between No. 2 Jacksonville and No. 3 Mercer at 3 p.m. on Friday.
