NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The North Florida Softball team dropped both games in the doubleheader portion of their Atlantic Sun Conference series with Lipscomb Saturday in Nashville, Tenn.
The Ospreys (24-23, 6-8 A-Sun) fell in game one by a score of 6-1 and were defeated in game two 2-1 on a walk-off home run by the Lady Bisons (21-21, 7-4 A-Sun).
North Florida scored their lone run in game one from a
Shelby Duncan double, scoring freshman
Alex Arciola in the top of the third.
In game two, the Ospreys took a 1-0 lead in the top of the sixth off of a Lipscomb wild pitch, scoring junior
Stacy McClelland.
Lipscomb tied the game in the bottom half of the inning off of a RBI single. After holding North Florida scoreless in the top half of the final frame, the Lady Bisons sealed the 2-1 win with a walk-off solo shot.
The Ospreys are back in action tomorrow afternoon in the series finale, first pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.
