No. 69 @OspreyMTEN Ends Three-Match Homestand with Stetson Thursday Afternoon

Live Scoring

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - No. 69 University of North Florida men's tennis finishes its homestand this Thursday at 4 p.m., with a critical match versus Stetson at the UNF Tennis Complex.

"It should be a really fun match this Thursday," said head coach Mark Finnegan. "The weather looks great and Stetson will come in ready to fight. We are anticipating another huge turnout and considerable home court advantage. Stetson is always very well coached and disciplined so, we will be tested."

UNF is 15-4 overall and come into Thursday's match with an undefeated 8-0 mark at home after defeating Kennesaw State and USC Upstate last week. The Ospreys are now 4-0 in conference play and tied for first in the Atlantic Sun standings with Florida Gulf Coast. UNF had already won the match against Kennesaw State when weather forced the match to end in a 4-0 Osprey victory. After starting out down by one versus USC Upstate, UNF rallied to win 4-3. The match-winning points came within minutes of each other, provided by Julian Bradley in the No. 3 spot and then Yannick Zuern in the No. 2 spot.

The Ospreys' win over USC Upstate allow them to clinch a spot in the A-Sun Tournament which takes place April 17-19 at the UNF Tennis Complex. It is the fifth time since 2010 in which UNF has secured a berth in the A-Sun Tournament.

Stetson's overall record is 11-7 and the Hatters are 3-1 in conference play heading into Thursday's match. Stetson started out last week with a loss to Brown at home, but finished with two home wins versus Northern Kentucky and Lipscomb. The Hatters are currently 4-4 in away matches. However, the Hatters have previously seen success at the UNF Tennis Complex with Graham Ball winning the Bedford Cup Gray Flight Championship in the fall. Meanwhile, in singles this spring, the Hatters have been strong at No. 3 singles with Loic Blanco leading the way with an 8-1 mark.

The match is being billed as Fraternity and Sorority Day, with contests and prizes available for UNF's Greeks. $1 Beers will also be available to those who are 21 and up. Admission is free for all of UNF's home matches.
